Personal branding in a dentist’s practice. Why is it worth starting?
Personal branding (personal branding) is the conscious shaping of a person’s public identity, presenting their values, goals, accumulated professional experience in a specific field, authenticity, and the value they offer to society. In this way, trust is increased and an emotional connection with the target audience is created.
According to statistical data, more than 2,000 dental clinics currently operate in Lithuania, and consumers tend not to trust them (the reasons being lack of communication, high prices, unpleasant past experiences). So personal branding in a dentist’s individual practice helps build a relationship with patients — both existing and future ones.
A dentist’s personal branding — how is it useful?
- The chance to stand out from the noise.
- An advantage over competitors.
- Building trust and connection with the audience.
- A growing patient base.
- Doors opening to bigger opportunities.

How do you start building personal branding?
- Choosing social media platforms. Although today’s audience is everywhere, in Lithuania the most interest comes from Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok.
- Creating an account. It’s recommended to choose a business profile, which gives you many more capabilities — clickable links in the description, the swipe up feature, deeper insights, contact buttons, and post promotion.
- Profile photo/bio. It’s important to choose a good-quality photo and include a short but interesting bio that reflects personal traits, contacts, an invitation to engage, and so on.
- Building communication. The main content formats you can use depending on your needs are stories (stories), carousels, short videos (reels), regular videos, static visuals, and live broadcasts.
- Engaging content. Create not for yourself but for the user — content has to be interesting, motivating, educational, meaningful, building a personal connection with the audience, and posted consistently.
